Sandgate Vermont is located in the western part of Vermont, near the New York border and west of Manchester Vermont. The hills and vales that make up the town’s landscape are dwarfed to an extent by Mt. Equinox to the east. The Green River, which flows into the Battenkill, runs through the town, and is fed by many town brooks along the way. The relative decline in population has seen an increase in the number of summer homes and cottages and vacation homes and cottages in the Sandgate Vermont real estate market. Sandgate boasts excellent hunting and fishing, and is a popular vacation destination for those interested in such outdoor activities.
