Rochester Vermont is located in Central Vermont, slightly east of center. It sits along RT100, and is overlooked by Philadelphia Peak, a 3,000-odd-fee-high mountain. A four-acre park, spectacular views of the Green Mountains and the White River Golf Course are just some of the reasons a person would want to settle down here. 12,000 acres of the town belongs to the Green Mountain National Forest, so residents have no shortage of hiking opportunities. The White River runs through the town, to the delight of local and visiting fly fishers. Rochester Vermont real estate puts the best Vermont ski resorts conveniently close by. Within an hour’s drive are Killington Resort, Pico Ski Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort, and Suicide Six Ski Area.
