Proctor Vermont is situated northwest of Rutland Vermont, and is accessed via RT 3. The Vermont Marble Company, formed in 1880, profited from the marble discovered in the area, and helped form the town that sits there today. The Vermont Marble Museum can be found in the middle of the village, giving tours within its walls and to the nearby Sunderland Falls Quarry Site. Historic Wilson Castle is also in Proctor, and is open to the public for tours. Proctor Vermont real estate is located less than an hour away from the best of Vermont’s ski resorts, including Killington Resort, Pico Ski Area, Okemo Mountain Resort, Stratton Mountain Ski Resort, Magic Mountain Ski Resort, and Suicide Six Ski Area.
