Middletown Springs gets the first half of its name from the nature of its inception, carved as it was out of the four corners of the neighboring towns of Tinmouth, Wells, Poultney and Ira. The latter half of the name was inspired by the mineral springs that surge from the banks of the Poultney River, which runs through the town. Many fine Middletown Springs real estate take in views of the sparkling Poultney River. Residents have easy access to nearby Lake Catherine and Lake Catherine State Park, with swimming, boating, and camping opportunities. Some of Vermont’s best ski resorts are just a short drive away from Middletown Springs Vermont real estate. In an under an hour one can enjoy Okemo Mountain Resort, Killington Resort, Pico Ski Resort, Magic Mountain Ski Resort, Stratton Mountain Ski Resort, and Bromley Mountain Ski Resort.
